PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's lacrosse head coach Melissa Lehman has named Ana White as an assistant coach. White, who spent the past five seasons on staff at Lafayette, played collegiately for the Leopards and was an all-conference student-athlete during her time in Easton.
"I am thrilled that Ana has decided to become part of the Scarlet Knight family," Lehman said. "Ana is such a smart and dedicated coach with a passion for personal and player development, and I am excited for our players to grow under her guidance. Her experience in recruiting will help us to identify and attract high caliber student-athletes with a desire to help build a nationally competitive program here at Rutgers."
The addition of White completes Lehman's coaching staff, as Allyson Heavens was hired as an assistant last July after a three-year stint on staff at La Salle.
White served as an assistant at Lafayette from 2015-19, as six Leopards combined for 10 All-Patriot League honors during her time on the Leopard's coaching staff. In 2017, Lafayette muscled 10 victories and an appearance in the Patriot League quarterfinals.
A native of Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, White was a four-time All-Patriot League and a three-time all-region selection in the midfield during her playing career on College Hill. She was also the Patriot League Midfielder of the Year her junior season and Patriot League Rookie of the Year in 2011.
White holds the Patriot League record for career caused turnovers (125) and is second all-time in conference history with 398 draw controls. White also received the Charles L. Albert 1908 Award as the best female student-athlete at the University in 2014.
