Men’s XC Opens Season at Lehigh Invitational

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's cross country opens its season at the Lehigh Invitational on Friday, Aug. 30. Race time is set for 5:30 p.m. the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Rutgers returns two seniors in Andrew Comito and Cole Pschunder. Juniors Billy Hill and Patrick Walsh add veteran experience to the lineup as well.
Sophomores Younass Barkouch, Will Berger, Cade Hindley, Cole Hindley, and Chris Smith all have an added year of experience under their belt heading into their second seasons. Five newcomers join the squad, including Hamza Barkouch, Thomas Hillyer, Liam McHale, Ryan Mitchell, and Peter Tilton.
After the Lehigh Invitational, the following meet is local at Fordham on Sept. 7), before RU travels to Ohio State's Invitational on Oct. 19. Next up is the Metropolitan Championships set for Oct. 11 in the Bronx. The Scarlet Knights then round out the regular season meets at the Princeton Invite on Oct. 19.
The Big Ten Cross Country Championship will be hosted by Ohio State on Nov. 3. NCAA Regionals follow on Nov. 15 in Bethlehem, Pa. The NCAA Championships and IC4A Championships share the date of Nov. 23. The NCAAs will take place in Terre Haute, Ind., while the IC4As are local in the Bronx.
