NO. 20/14 RUTGERS QUICK KICKS
- Following an undefeated nonconference slate, Rutgers (7-1-1, 1-1) opened Big Ten play with home matches against Minnesota and Wisconsin over the weekend.
- The Scarlet Knights registered a commanding 2-0 victory over the Golden Gophers on Friday with goals from junior forwards Amirah Ali and Nneka Moneme.
- Despite senior defender Amanda Visco tying the game 1-1, Wisconsin, who was receiving votes, topped RU, 2-1, in overtime on a penalty kick.
- Overall, Ali is ranked third in the league with six goals and second with three game winners.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Meagan McClelland ranks eighth in the nation and first in the Big Ten with six shutouts. She is 18th in the NCAA and first in the league with a 0.428 GAA.
- Rutgers is ranked in Top 20 of the United Soccer Coaches for the second consecutive week. RU is also ranked No. 14 by TopDrawerSoccer.com and No. 24 by Soccer America.

SCOUTING MARYLAND
- Maryland (5-3-2, 1-1) split its conference matches over the weekend, falling to Wisconsin, 3-0, on Friday and topping Minnesota, 2-0, on Sunday.
- Alyssa Poarch leads the Terrapins with five goals on the year.
- In net, Erin Seppi has seen the most time, maintaining a GAA of 1.46 with 40 saves.
- Maryland holds a slight 6-5-1 edge in the all-time series with Rutgers dating back to 1989. RU has won the last four meetings, including a 2-1 overtime win in College Park last season.
