BRONX, N.Y. – Rutgers men's track and field claimed the team title at the Fordham Fiasco on Saturday morning in the Bronx. Senior
Cole Pschunder led the Scarlet Knights for the second consecutive race, finishing second to help guide RU to victory at Van Cortlandt Park.
Rutgers finished first with 59 points followed by Princeton in second with 65 points. Penn wrapped up the Top 3 with 95 points.
THE RACE
Three Scarlet Knights finished in the top 10 of the event. Pschunder crossed the line second with a time of 26:27.23 on the 8K course.
Junior
Billy Hill followed with a time of 27:00.16, finishing eighth in the field of 110. Classmate
Patrick Walsh was close after with a time of 27:00.81 to cross the line ninth.
Freshman
Thomas Hillyer posted a result of 21:45.41 to round out the Top 20 finishers for RU.
Rutgers has finished in the Top 3 in both its races to start the 2019 season.
