Scarlet Knights attempt the season series sweep against the Illini
PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Jan. 29, 2020) - Rutgers women's basketball (15-4, 5-3) hosts Illinois (10-9, 1-7) in the final leg of a home-and-home season series at the RAC on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m.
The Scarlet Knights are 8-2 at home this season and 34-7 over the last three seasons at the RAC. The home-court advantage helped fuel a 15-2 start to the year, Rutgers' best opening to a season since the 1990-91 squad began 16-1 on their way to the NCAA Tournament.

OPENING TIP: Rutgers is 15-4 to start a season for the second straight year. RU's 15-2 start was its best opening during the C. Vivian Stringer era (since 1995) and best overall since the 1990-91 squad opened 16-1.
B1G TIME: C. Vivian Stringer, the all-time winningest coach in Big Ten play with 217 victories, leads the Scarlet Knights through the conference slate one year after RU's most successful season in the league since joining in '14-15.
