Men’s Basketball Game versus No. 20 Penn State Sold Out
Jan 06 | Men's Basketball
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers athletics announced today that single game tickets for the men's basketball's game against No. 20 Penn State on Tuesday night at The RAC are sold out. It marks the second sell-out of the season, following a sell-out of the game against No. 22 Seton Hall on December 14, a 68-48 win for the Scarlet Knights. For additional ticket options, fans can also visit StubHub, the official Fan-to-Fan Marketplace of Rutgers Athletics.
Attendance has steadily increased under head coach Steve Pikiell. Rutgers experienced five sell-outs at the RAC last season, its most since 2004-05 (seven), as average attendance improved 31.1 % from 2017-18. This will be the second straight sell-out for a Rutgers-Penn State game at The RAC.
Rutgers will implement an alternate traffic pattern for the game. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, as increased traffic volume may delay ingress and egress.
As demand for remaining Big Ten home games continues to increase, Rutgers athletics encourages fans interested in attending future contests to purchase their tickets early.
The contest will also be televised nationwide. Brandon Gaudin and Bob Wenzel will be on the call for the Big Ten Network.
The Scarlet Knights are 11-3 overall this season and 2-1 in Big Ten Conference play following a 17-point victory Friday evening at Nebraska, the largest ever margin of victory in a Big Ten road game. The team returns to the RAC, where the Scarlet Knights are 10-0 this season. RU is 29th in the NCAA NET rankings and ranked No. 43 in the nation in the Ken Pomerory ratings.
