Season-ticket pricing for the 2020-21 winter sports campaign will remain the same this year, with the exception of men's basketball ticket packages in the 300-level. Fans renewing season tickets are also reminded that next year's Super Saturday event at Madison Square Garden featuring men's basketball vs. Michigan State and wrestling vs. Penn State is not included in each team's respective season-ticket packages, but will have an opportunity to purchase later this year.
Beginning this fall, Rutgers Athletics will employ mobile-only ticketing, enabling contactless entry into all venues beginning with the 2020 football season, it was announced today. Offering greater convenience and safety, fans can access their ticket accounts through the Scarlet Knights app supported on Apple and Android devices, and available for download via the App Store and Google Play. The men's basketball program won 20 games in the regular season for the first time in 37 years, won their most conference games (11) in 29 years, marked their first winning season in 14 years and were nationally ranked during the year for the first time in 41 years. Ron Harper Jr., the Scarlet Knights were a force at the RAC. A record 10 sell-outs helped propel RU to 18 home wins, the most in the nation this season and a program record for home wins. Rutgers finished the season tied for fifth in the Big Ten with a team that was built around the sixth-best defensive efficiency in the country. Women's basketball was poised to be selected for its second straight and 26th overall NCAA Tournament. Hall of Fame head coach
C. Vivian Stringer started the season by claiming her 500th win at the helm of the Scarlet Knights, kick starting an 11-1 record to open the year - Rutgers' best beginning to a campaign since the 1990-91 season. RU claimed the Junkanoo Jam title in the Bahamas during Thanksgiving Week with wins over Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech, its first holiday championship since 2015. Arella Guirantes led Rutgers and the entire Big Ten in scoring, netting her 1,000th career point in the process and becoming the first Scarlet Knight in history to average 20+ points, 6+ rebounds and 3+ assists per game for a season. The Scarlet Knights posted 11 wins in the Big Ten to earn the No. 5 seed in the Big Ten Tournament before advancing to the quarterfinals for the fifth time in six years. Guirantes was named All-Big Ten First Team and earned All-America Honorable Mention by the AP, WBCA and USBWA, while
Tekia Mack earned Big Ten All-Defensive Team and All-Big Ten Honorable Mention accolades.
Wrestling wrapped up another successful dual season, as its 10-7 record in 2019-20 marked the 14th consecutive winning campaign for the Scarlet Knights and the 13th since head coach
Scott Goodale took over the program in 2007. RU also finished ranked in the NWCA Coaches Poll for the ninth time under Goodale's leadership. Home attendance for wrestling at the RAC remained one of the highest in the country, as Rutgers was fourth nationally in attendance average with 4,292 fans per home event. Five Scarlet Knights –
