PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers men's basketball Director of Basketball Operations and Recruiting
Ben Asher was named to the 2020 Under Armour 30-Under-30 Team, it was announced Tuesday by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. The list recognized 30 of the most outstanding men's college basketball coaches under the age of 30.
Asher has spent the last four seasons with the program. He was elevated to his current role for the past season following three seasons as the Special Assistant to the Head Coach.

Steve Pikiell's original staff, Asher has been with the program throughout its recent resurgence. This past season, the Scarlet Knights captured its first 20-win regular season in 37 years while also posting its first winning league record in 29 years.
Asher plays an integral role in the program's social media outreach and recruiting initiatives. Following the signing of Cliff Omoruyi, RU has signed a four-star prospect from the state of New Jersey in three consecutive classes, with Omoruyi joining
Paul Mulcahy (Class of 2019) and
Ron Harper Jr. (Class of 2018).
