PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Gianna Glatz and Katie Larmour will represent No. 1 Rutgers field hockey as members of the NFHCA Senior Team, the organization announced on Monday. The duo were both multi-year captains and key leaders for the Scarlet Knights in leading the program to a historic 19-win season and Big Ten Tournament Championship.

"Congratulations to Gianna and Katie," head coach Meredith Civico said. "We're so proud of you and grateful for all that you've given to this program."

This is the fourth straight season that RU was represented by a player on the Senior Team. Gracey Butsack was named to the Senior Team in the spring, preceded by Austyn Cuneo and Linde van Schaik in 2019 and 2018 respectively.  Members of the team were nominated by their NFHCA member coach and were chosen based on their career accomplishments. 

Glatz completed an all-time career as one of the best goalkeepers both in the nation and in program history. She started 90 games over five years, playing nearly 5700 minutes in the goal and posting a 1.40 goals-against-average (fourth all-time at RU). The Medford, N.J. native had a lifetime .749 save percentage with 22 shutouts while posting a career record of 57-33. This season, she set statistical bests with a 0.93 goals-against-average and .796 save percentage.

Larmour excelled in the midfield for the Scarlet Knights over her six years 'On the Banks'. The Belfast, Northern Ireland native played in 86 career games, 83 of them starts. In that time, she stabilized the RU possession game and posted 17 goals and 18 assists for 52 career points. She had six career game-winning goals. This season she added one goal and five assists to her totals.
