PISCATAWAY, N.J. – No. 12 Rutgers wrestling (3-0) swept its quad with Binghamton, Cleveland State and NJCU on Sunday afternoon at Jersey Mike's Arena. The Scarlet Knights won 27 out of 30 individual matchups in front of 3,367 fans – the first home event with spectators in attendance since the 2020 Big Ten Wrestling Championships.
Rutgers produced 18 wins by bonus, including pins from

Boone McDermott (HWT) and
Alex Esposito (HWT). Poznanski went a perfect 3-0 on Sunday, which included an impressive 7-1 decision over 2021 NCAA qualifier DeAndre Nassar (Cleveland State) by decision, 7-1.
Bulsak and McDermott shined in their first matches in front of fans at Jersey Mike's Arena. Bulsak went 2-0 on the day with a 12-1 major decision over No. 25 Ben Smith (Cleveland State) and followed with a first-period pin of Matt Kelly (Binghamton). McDermott pinned Joe Kelby (Cleveland State) in the first minute of their match and closed the day with an injury default over No. 28 Joe Doyle (Binghamton) in the opening round.

Sebastian Rivera only wrestled once in his JMA debut in front of fans and worked a 9-1 major decision against Ryan Anderson (Binghamton).
Connor O'Neill (174) also had an impressive day, as he picked up two wins and worked a come-from-behind 14-12 win over Anthony Rice (Cleveland State) that got the crowd on its feet in the third period.
