The five things to know before the Scarlet Knights tip off the 2021-22 season at Jersey Mike's Arena against the Peacocks
PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers women's basketball tips off the 2021-22 season on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. at Jersey Mike's Arena against Saint Peter's. The Scarlet Knights are 16-10 in season openers since 1994-95 and carry a 20-6 record in home openers during that span.

Osh Brown, a graduate transfer from Ball State, is set to start the season as the NCAA Division I active career leader in rebounds with 1,106 and in double-doubles with 49. Brown ranked second in the nation last season with 9.5 defensive rebounds per game, and seventh with 16 double-doubles.
The Scarlet Knights are one of just five teams in NCAA Division I to boast three current 1,000-point scorers on the 2021-22 roster: Osh Brown (1,485), Lasha Petree (1,398), and Victoria Morris (1,379) combining for 4,263 points. Jailyn Mason has 956 career points and Shug Dickson has 913. They would become the fourth and fifth, making Rutgers the only school in the country to roster four or more 1,000 career point scorers.
When RU takes the court at the newly named Jersey Mike's Arena, the program will carry a 228-51 record on its home court since the 2002-03 season. The Scarlet Knights are 49-8 at Jersey Mike's Arena over the past four seasons.
Rutgers won all four of its regular season non-conference games last season and have won 10 consecutive regular season non-conference contests since the 2019-20 season. Rutgers has won its last nine regular season games from last winter, all in the Big Ten, its longest winning streak since joining the conference. The Scarlet Knights had their first nine-game conference winning streak since the perfect 16-0 Big East season of 2005-06, which was an actual 24-game Big East streak going back to '04-05.
