No. 12 Wrestling Set to Compete at 2021 MatMen Open

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – No. 12 Rutgers wrestling (10-0) will now compete at the 2021 MatMen Open, held from Dec. 29-30 at Now Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The tournament replaces the previously scheduled Midlands Championships, which was canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
More than 20 Division I programs will compete during the two–day tournament, including Big Ten foes Illinois, Indiana, Michigan (partial), Purdue, and Wisconsin. The Scarlet Knights will send 12 attached student-athletes, with RU's full travel party listed below.
Wrestling begins on Wednesday, Dec. 29 at 10 a.m. ET and will stream on Rofkin. More information on how to access the stream will be released in the coming days.
Off to its best start to a dual season in program history, Rutgers returns to dual action on Friday, Jan. 7 when it hosts Indiana at 7 p.m. ET at Jersey Mike's Arena.
