Volleyball Set To Battle No. 4 Nebraska

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - On the heels of taking on the nation's top team, the Rutgers volleyball team returns home to take on No. 4 Nebraska on Friday and Saturday at the College Ave Gym. First serve is set for 4 p.m. on both days.
The Scarlet Knights are back on the road to meet up with Iowa on Friday, Feb. 19 and Saturday, Feb. 20.

| ABOUT THE SCARLET KNIGHTS |
- Senior Beka Kojadinovic continues to lead the Scarlet Knight attack at 2.75 k/s followed by classmate Kamila Cieslik at 2.345k/s and junior Anastasiia Maksimova at 2.2o k/s.
- Junior Inna Balyko has totaled 142 assists on the year averaging 7.47 per set and also leads RU with seven aces. She ranks ninth in the league in helpers. Balyko needs 181 more assists to move into sixth on Rutgers' all-time assist leaders list.
- At the net, redshirt junior Shealyn McNamara is making rejections 0.85 times a set followed by freshman Tina Grkovic averaging 0.80 b/s.
- Freshman libero Madyson Chitty is contributing 2.55 d/s for the defense.
| SCOUTING NEBRASKA |
- The Cornhuskers make their way to the College Ave Gym as the country's fourth-ranked squad at 4-0 with a pair of victories over Indiana and Maryland.
- The Terps were able to win a set in the first game of the series last Friday with a 27-25 second set victory. After the set was knotted at 24-24, the Cornhuskers were able to get to set point, but Maryland rattled off three-straight for the win.
- Among the conference stats, Nebraska leads the Big Ten in assists (12.92) and service aces (2.0)
- Senior Lexi Sun leads the Cornhusker offense at 3.38 k/s with junior Nicklin Hames contributing 10.85 a/s. Sun also leads the squad with eight aces. Sun is eighth in the league in kills per set, while Hames currently ranks second in assists.
- Hames along with Kenzie Knuckles leads the defense at 3.00 d/s with junior Kayla Caffey adding 1.44 b/s. Caffey is fourth in the Big Ten in the category.
| NOTES FROM THE WISCONSIN SERIES |
- Rutgers fell twice to the top team in the nation last week but had several notables accomplishments against the Badgers.
- In Friday's contest, Wisconsin had entered the game with the nation's third-best and league's top hitting percentage at a .367 clip, but swung for a season-low .293. In the third and final set, the Badgers hit just .179.
- The Scarlet Knights also opened the series with a 5-0 run and nearly equaled the Badgers in kills with Wisconsin slightly ahead at 36-34.
- On Saturday, Rutgers had a close third set but came up just short at 25-21. The final set was tied five times and the Badgers led by no more than four points. Rutgers was ahead 9-6 before Wisconsin took its first lead off a 5-0 run. The Scarlet Knights battled back to knot the score three more times off swings from McNamara, Cieslik and Maksimova and down the stretch, the Scarlet Knights were within two at 18-20.
