Tennis Back on the Road for Rematches with Penn State and Ohio State

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers tennis is back on the road for two Big Ten matchups this week, rematching with Penn State and No. 10 Ohio State. The Scarlet Knights first return a visit to the Nittany Lions on Friday, March 19 at 3 p.m. followed by a return trip to the Buckeyes on Sunday, March 21 at 12 p.m.
RU is coming off a 4-3 victory over Michigan State at home on Sunday. The Scarlet Knights claimed the doubles point and three singles victories for the win, including wins by freshman Chloe Brown, redshirt-senior Jaci Cochrane and senior Maya Jacobs.
The duo of junior Tess Fisher and freshman Alisa Prinyarux picked up win at the No. 2 sport, while the pair of Cochrane and freshman Daira Cardenas contributed a win at the No. 3 spot to secure the point and the advantage. The same doubles pairs also recorded doubles wins against No. 15 Michigan to claim the team doubles point for Rutgers in the 6-1 setback.
Brown leads the team with three singles victories in Big Ten action, as Jacobs has recorded two conference wins at the No. 2 singles spot. Brown claimed one of her singles win in the 4-3 loss to Penn State at home on Feb. 20.
