Fisher and Prinyarux Collect Singles Wins in 5-2 Setback at Penn State

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Junior Tess Fisher and freshman Alisa Prinyarux claimed singles victories in a 5-2 setback at Penn State on Friday.
Despite senior Maya Jacobs and freshman Chloe Brown earning a 7-5 win at the No. 1 doubles spot, the Nittany Lions claimed the team point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
With RU trailing 2-0, Fisher recorded a 6-3, 0-6, 6-4 win at the No. 2 singles spot to cut into the deficit. Prinyarux followed at the No. 4 position with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 to even the match 2-2. Junior Sydney Kaplan and freshman Chloe Brown rallied to three-set matches, however, PSU edged out the wins to claim the match.
The Scarlet Knights remain on the road for a rematch at No. 10 Ohio State on Sunday.
