ANN ARBOR, Mich. – No. 14 Rutgers women's lacrosse (3-2) lost in overtime to No. 21 Michigan (1-3) on Friday afternoon in Ann Arbor. In a game that featured eight ties and eight lead changes, UM's Molly Garrett converted an unassisted goal in sudden victory to halt the Scarlet Knights' three-game winning streak.

Senior Taralyn Naslonski and sophomore Ashley Campo both netted four goals, as Naslonski's fourth score put RU ahead 11-10 with four minutes to go in the game. Sophomores Jenna Byrne and Cassidy Spilis added two points apiece, while Spilis led the team with four draw controls and three caused turnovers. Sophomore Alonna Gliksman produced her best gamel in cage this season with a season-high 14 saves.

For the fourth consecutive game, Rutgers won the 50/50 battle, this time by a 14-11 margin, but the Wolverines used 15 caused turnovers to help secure their first win of the season.

Michigan would go up by as much as two goals to begin the second half before Naslonski netted back-to-back opportunities to tie it at 8-8 with 13:26 remaining. Both teams would trade goals in the closing minutes of regulation before rookie Ashley Moynahan found Naslonski from the back of the cage to make it 11-10 in favor of Rutgers with 4:40 left. However, Michigan's Caroline Bean tied the game once again two minutes later to send the game to overtime.
