BALTIMORE – No 23 Rutgers women's lacrosse (3-7) lost 17-10 to Johns Hopkins (4-4) on Sunday in Baltimore. Senior
Taralyn Naslonski produced a team-high five points and her fourth hat trick of the season, while sophomore
Ashley Campo added three points on a goal and two assists in the loss.
The Blue Jays used an 18-11 advantage on the draw to dictate possession, as JHU's Aurora Cordingley secured a game-high six goals for the second consecutive game to help Johns Hopkins earn the win. The Scarlet Knights previously defeated the Blue Jays for the first time in program history earlier this season by a 13-10 margin.

Dana Pena collected team highs in ground balls (4) and caused turnovers (3), while sophomore
Cassidy Spilis secured two caused turnovers, two ground balls and three draw controls. Freshman
Ashley Moynahan also enjoyed an impressive afternoon with three ground balls, a caused turnover, a draw control and her third goal of her rookie season.
RU scored first for the seventh time in 10 games, as Naslonski found a cutting Campo for a 1-0 lead four minutes into the game. Campo then found senior
Hannah Hollingsworth to give Rutgers a 2-1 lead three minutes later before Johns Hopkins used a 6-1 scoring run for a 7-3 lead with nine minutes left in the first half. Naslonski stopped the Blue Jays' run with her first goal of the day and 18th of the season, but Hopkins closed the half with a 3-0 scoring run to enter halftime with a 10-4 lead.
JHU added two goals out of the locker room before Naslonski and Spilis connected on back-to-back goals to make it 12-6 with 23:54 left in the game. Redshirt freshman
Grace Curran added the first goal of her career in the second half, while Naslonski, senior

Lauren Ellis contributed to a 3-0 scoring run in the final 10 minutes of the game before Johns Hopkins responded with two scores to hold on for a 17-10 win.
Rutgers finishes the regular season with two home games against No. 14 Penn State (Thursday, April 15) and No. 9 Maryland (Sunday, April 18). Both games are slated for 3 p.m. ET starts.
