Tennis Set to Begin Big Ten Tournament on Wednesday, April 28

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers tennis is set to begin the 2021 Big Ten Tournament on Wednesday, April 28 hosted at Wisconsin. The 12th-seeded Scarlet Knights will matchup with the 13th-seeded Maryland Terrapins in a 3 p.m. ET match.
RU enters the Tournament after posting the most Big Ten wins for the program in a single season with four, including two victories over Maryland, a win over Michigan State and Indiana.
Freshman Chloe Brown leads the team with five singles wins in conference dual action this year. Redshirt senior Jaci Cochrane follows with four singles wins, while senior Maya Jacobs and juniors Tess Fisher and Sydney Kaplan own three victories.
In doubles play, the duo of freshman Alisa Prinyarux and Fisher have recorded a team-high six doubles victories in dual matches this spring.
The winner of Wednesday's match will see No. 5 Nebraska on Thursday at 7 p.m. (ET) in the Second Round. The Big Ten Tournament semifinals will be played May 1 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. (ET), while the conference championship game is set for 3 p.m. (ET) May 2.
