Tennis Wraps Up Regular Season Home Schedule with Iowa and Nebraska this Weekend

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers tennis is set to host its final two Big Ten home matchups of the season, welcoming Iowa on Friday, April 9 at 12 p.m. ET and Nebraska on Sunday, April 11 at 11:30 a.m. ET. Both matches are slated to be played outside at the Rutgers Tennis Complex on Busch Campus.
Prior to Sunday's match, the program will honor its three graduating Scarlet Knights – Jaci Cochrane, Isabelle Da Silva and Maya Jacobs. The team will also welcome back 2020 graduate Kat Muzik to honor her in the ceremony as well.
RU is coming off a 4-0 triumph over Maryland on Friday at the East Brunswick Racquet Club. The Scarlet Knights earned the team doubles point and three singles wins for the victory. Junior Tess Fisher, who contributed to a doubles win and added a singles win, was named the Big Ten Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance.
Jacobs, Fisher and Freshman Chloe Brown lead RU this season with three singles victories each in dual matches against Big Ten opponents. Freshman Alisa Prinyarux and Fisher lead the team with six doubles victories as a pair.
STATEMENT ON ATTENDANCE RESTRICTIONS AND PARKING
All events at Rutgers Athletics venues for the 2020-21 competition year will operate in accordance with current statewide restrictions on indoor and outdoor public gatherings. Access to events will be limited to athletes, coaches, trainers and other necessary game day personnel. As a result, tennis matches are closed to the public this season. Two parents or guardians for each Rutgers student-athlete will be permitted to attend. A free, one-time parking registration is required to park at the Rutgers Tennis Complex. To register, please click here.
