PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers field hockey assistant coach Ajai Dhadwal will compete with Team USA at the Indoor Pan American Cup, set to take place this weekend. Dhadwal was named as one of 12 athletes to compete at the event, which will take place from June 25-27 in Spring City, Pa.
Dhadwal is a midfielder who has been a member of the USA National Team since 2009. He will participate in an Indoor Pan American Cup event for the second time in his career, as he also participated with Team USA in the 2014 event, leading USA to a second place finish. Dhadwal also served as the team captain for Team USA in the Outdoor Pan Am Cup in 2017, leading Team USA to a bronze medal.
Dhadwal joined the Rutgers field hockey coaching staff in 2017, shortly after that year's Pan Am Cup. During Dhadwal's time with the program, the Scarlet Knights have compiled a 32-23 record that was highlighted by an at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament in 2018. This past season, RU earned four top-10 wins and finished the season ranked seventh in the nation.
