Four Men's Basketball Student-Athletes Named to NABC Honors Court

Geo Baker, Nick Brooks, Myles Johnson and Luke Nathan Recognized for Academic Achievements
PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers men's basketball had a program record four student-athletes recognized for their academic achievements today as they were named to the 2020-21 NABC Honors Court. Geo Baker, Nick Brooks, Myles Johnson and Luke Nathan were recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
The Scarlet Knights' four honorees were tied for the most among any Big Ten team. To qualify, student-athletes had to be academically a junior or senior, hold a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2, and matriculated at least one year at the current institution. Brooks and Johnson both earned the accolade for the second straight season, with Joey Downes joining them last season as RU had three honorees last summer.
All four student-athletes were members of the Academic All-Big Ten team last season as RU had a record 11 honorees on that listing. The Scarlet Knights have excelled in the classroom over the past academic year. As a team, RU posted a 3.26 term GPA in the spring with a 3.25 cumulative GPA, also qualifying them for recognition on the NABC's Academic Team Excellence Award for the second straight season.

Located in Kansas City, Missouri, the NABC was founded in 1927 by Phog Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas.
