Nineteen Gymnasts Earn WCGA Scholastic All-America Honors

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers gymnastics had 19 representatives on the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-America list released Wednesday. To be recognized for this honor, student-athletes must carry a grade-point average of 3.50 or better during the 2020-21 academic year.
The 19 honorees marks the most in program history dating back to 2000. The total tops the 12 Scholastic All-Americans from a year ago, which had then marked the most for the Scarlet Knights since 2012.
The Scarlet Knights add to conference academic accolades from this year, as a total of 14 student-athletes were named 2021 Winter Academic All-Big Ten selections. To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students-athletes must have been enrolled full-time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
Additionally, Sophia Atienza, Kiera Doherty-Herwitz, Emily Drauss, Jordyn Duffield, Lizzy Henshall, Belle Huang, Hannah Joyner, Alexis Rogers and Jordyn Zieden-Weber were named Big Ten Distinguished Scholars for having earned a minimum GPA of 3.70 or better.
