Q: What went into your decision to come to Rutgers?
A: I wanted to be closer to home because I'm from New Jersey so I should be close to my family and my friends. Rutgers has a great academic reputation and I want to be a part of the rebuilding process and building the team culture.
Q: What or who would you say started your softball career?
A: I have always been athletic from a very young age and involved in a lot of different sports but my dad has always inspired me to play. He always worked with me, and as my biggest supporter, made me fall in love with the game.
Q: What is your best memory of playing this sport?
A: My best memories from the sport are the opportunities and experiences that are given to me. All the accolades I've earned throughout my entire softball career are awesome, and there are special games and moments that I can think of. I think getting to travel, see the country, and just create bonds are what I'm always going to remember.
Q: What are your plans after Rutgers?
A: I plan on going to grad school to be a dentist.
Q: What advice would you give your freshman yourself?
A: I would tell myself to just relax and have fun. College can be a very stressful time and we balance so many things on a day-to-day basis as athletes. I would definitely tell myself to go out there, enjoy all the little moments, and just enjoy playing the game. It doesn't have to be so serious all the time. It's hard to not get wrapped up in stats and individual games. Just play loose and have fun.
Q: How does it feel to be able to play your sport at this level?
A: It was always my dream to play softball at the highest level. It's so fulfilling and rewarding to be able to look back and see all the hard work that paid off. I got to live out my dream and compete against some of the best teams in the country.
Q: What will you miss most about Rutgers?
A: I will miss all my teammates, the bonds that I've created with them, and obviously playing the sport I've been playing for 16 years. It's been a part of basically my entire life so it's definitely going to be an adjustment finally hanging up the cleats and starting a new chapter.
Q: Whom would you like to thank for your success in Rutgers Softball?
A: I would like to thank my parents because they've always supported me and pushed me to work hard to be the best teammate I can be.
I would also like to thank my coaches for giving me such an amazing opportunity to play this game.
Q: How has your time at Rutgers changed you?
A: I've grown into the person I want to be and I've learned so many life lessons to be able to carry with me forever. I think it's fun to look back at the four years because each year is so different from the others, but you learn and grow so much each year that you're here.
Q: After you're done at Rutgers, what do you want to be remembered as?
A: I want to be remembered as someone who worked hard and gave it their all. I also want to be remembered as a good teammate, someone that people can come to, talk to, and confide in.
Q: What's the first thing you're going to scratch off your bucket list once you graduate?
A: I would like to travel to some pretty cool places in and out of the country.
