PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers track and field closed out its two-day home meet with a pair of school records as
Sincere Robinson set a new mark in the long jump and
Nadale Buntin tied the record time in the 100-meter at the Rutgers Relays on Saturday, April 22 at the Bauer Track and Field Complex.
The Scarlet Knights totaled 15 individual event wins and victories in five relays across both the men's and women's squads. In addition to the 15 wins, Rutgers claimed the top two spots in nine events, including the top four placements in both the men's and women's javelin.
Robinson, the reigning Big Ten Champion in the indoor, claimed the school outdoor long jump record as he hit a winning mark of 7.93m. The record was previously held by assistant coach Corey Crawford, which he set in 2016. Buntin, also a Big Ten Indoor Champion, was able to tie the school record in the 100-meter dash with a first-place time of 10.30, matching a record that has stood for nearly 40 years.
Also posting wins on the men's side was
Al-Tariq Dunson, who was victorious in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.27, followed by Christopher Serrao in second in 15.09.
Jon Fontana won the 5,000-meter with a time of 14:49.96, while the Scarlet Knights earned wins in two men's relays with the 4x200 and 4x400-meter. Zack Novak,

Aaron Black and
Antonio Tarantino combined for a winning 4x200-meter relay time of 1:28.90. In the 4x400-meter,
Tyler Kelly,
Joshua Babe, Zack Novak and
Jameson Woodell posted a win with a time of 3:16.34.
Jabari Higgs-Salaam placed second in the long jump behind Robinson with a jump of 7.61m.
Nico Morales took the top spot in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.88m. Steven Coponi led the way in the javelin, winning the event with a throw of 68.19m. The Scarlet Knights would take the next three spots with
Joshua Mather in second (66.32m),
Robert Paneque in third (61.89m) and Zachary Semerjian in fourth (59.20m).
Rutgers went 1-2 in the men's discus as
Konstantinos Bouzakis earned the win with a throw of 54.28m, followed by
Kyle Lipscomb in second with a throw of 53.89m. Lipscomb also won the hammer throw with a distance of 63.99m.
The women's team earned individual wins on the track in the 100-meter dash and 110-meter hurdles.
Dennisha Page finished first in the 100 with a time of 11.59, while
Icisys Sadler took first in the hurdles with a time of 13.80.
Shanelle Colmon placed first in the 400-meter with a time of 56.26, followed by
Charlee Crawford in second with a time of 56.75.
The Scarlet Knights took three relays with Page joining
Sydney Hawkins,
Jada Ellis and
Azariah Grantham to win the 4x100 with a time of 45.75.
Kameron Scille,
Thalia Dyer,
Lucia Garcia-Beltran and
Alexandria Yarbrough won the 4x200 with a time of 1:42.17, while Crawford and Colmon joined
Celine-Jada Brown and
Reanda Richards in the 4x400 to win with a time of 3:43.50.
In the field events,
Kristina Tossas won the long jump with a leap of 6.50m. She was followed by Brown in second with a distance of 6.10m.
Claudine Smith won the triple jump with a distance of 12.40m, while
Faith Bethea placed second after recording a jump of 12.18m.
The Scarlet Knights also went 1-2 in the pole vault and earned the top four spots in the javelin.
Chloe Timberg won the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.31m and
Suzy Lacombe took second with a height of 3.76m.
Alianna Eucker led the four-person group in the javelin as she won the event with a throw of 45.80m, followed by
Samantha Gravatt with a distance of 44.19m.
Olivia Norris took third with a throw of 42.71m and
Emilie Ghalam placed fourth with a mark of 40.46m.
Tey'ana Ames finished second in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.65m, followed by
Courteney Campbell in third with a height of 1.60m. Ames also finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 13.95m.
Jasmine Van Note placed second in discus with a throw of 46.11m, while
Kelly Enterline took fourth with a mark of 39.60m. Van Note also placed third in the shot put with a throw of 14.59m.
NEXT UP
The Scarlet Knights will split the squad as they head into the final weeks before the start of the Big Ten Championships. Rutgers will compete at the Penn Relays as well as the East Coast Relays on the campus of North Florida.
