Lorena Rossettin had a career day at University Ridge Golf Course as Rutgers women's golf moved up the leaderboard to take home 11th place at the Badger Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.
After sitting in a tie for 14th after each of the first two rounds, the Scarlet Knights shot a 295 to move up three spots in their second event of the season.
Rossettin fired a 2-under 70 in her final round to shoot up the boards and finish in a tie for 37th, while
Leigha Devine finished in a tie for 32nd place.

Devine was able to bounce back after a triple-bogey on her first hole of the day. She parred her next five holes, birdied No. 2 and finished her round with eight straight pars to finish the day with a 5-over 77 and the tournament with a 7-over 223 (74-72-77).
Lorena Rossettin was tied for 70th going into the final round of play. She started her round with five consecutive pars, birdied No. 3 and No. 6 and then birdied three of her final five holes to card a 2-under 70. She finished the tournament tied for 37th with a 9-over 225 (76-79-70).
"My head was in the game today, despite the rainy and windy conditions this morning," Rossettin said. "Coach encouraged us to stay patient and make the best of this final round and that's what I did. I focused on making smart decisions on the course and was aggressive to pins at the right time. This round was a step in the right direction and I'll look to build on this for the next tournament."
Cathi Graf also saved her best round for last, shooting a 1-under 73 on Tuesday. Graf birdied No. 16 and No. 9 and rolled in 13 pars to cap off the tournament in a tie for 46th place with an 11-over (78-76-73).
Competing as an individual in her first event for Rutgers,
Krystal Li birdied three holes in her final round and finished the tournament tied for 73rd with an 18-over 234 (78-79-77).
The Scarlet Knights have a quick turnaround, as they head for the west coast for the Molly Collegiate at Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside, Calif, with the first round of action set for Sept. 25.
