
Athletics and SAAC to Host Holiday Toy Drive

PISCATAWAY, N.J. — This holiday season, Rutgers men's and women's basketball along with wrestling will be hosting Toy Drives at Jersey Mike's Arena.
The Toy Drive for men's basketball will take place against Merrimack on Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. while the women's will be four days later versus Princeton at 2 p.m. on Nov. 24. Wrestling will accept donations on Dec. 6 against Lock Haven at 7 p.m.
Donors at all three contests will receive a $10 concessions voucher to be used at the event of donation. Those who bring donations to wrestling will also receive a free ticket to the team's match against Illinois on Jan. 26 at 1 p.m.
Fans will be able to drop donations off at all three events outside the entrance to Jersey Mike's Arena.
All donations will benefit the New Brunswick Public School District Early Childhood Education pre-schools (kids ages 3-5). Gifts should be new and unwrapped, with a value of $20 or more.
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be hosting the event, looking to give gifts to over 300 kids this holiday season. The donated gifts are set to be wrapped by Dec. 9 and distributed by Dec. 13.
