PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers field hockey student-athlete
Paulina Niklaus was recognized by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association for her academic achievements. Paulina was named as a NFHCA Scholar of Distinction.Â
This distinguished program acknowledges exceptional undergraduate student-athletes who have consistently maintained an impressive cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher throughout the fall semester of the 2023-24 academic year.Niklaus was previously one of 16 student-athletes from the team who were recognized as NFHCA's National Academic Squad.members in last week's release.
A junior from Manheim, Germany, Niklaus excelled in her first season on the field as a Scarlet Knight this fall. Niklaus was named to the Second Team All-BIg Ten, Second Team All-Region, and was a member of the Big Ten All-Tournament Team.
Two additional Division I academic awards are yet to be unveiled — the NFHCA National Academic Team awards on February 21, and concluding with the announcement of the National Scholar-Athlete on February 26.
