
Women’s Lacrosse Hosts No. 6 Michigan Thursday Night for Blackout Game

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's lacrosse (5-2, 0-1) continues Big Ten Conference action with No. 6 Michigan (8-0, 1-0) on Thursday, March 14 at SHI Stadium. First draw under the lights is set for 6 p.m. and will broadcast on Big Ten Plus.
Admission and parking for all home games are free. Fans planning to park must register their vehicles with the University through this link. Visitors only need to register their vehicle once for the entire season. Parking for 2024 home games is in the Scarlet Lot outside the West entrance of SHI Stadium.
Thursday night is the program's 'Blackout', with fans encouraged to wear black to the game. Complimentary black shirts will be available while supplies last.

- Rutgers lost an overtime heartbreaker to Penn State ,10-9, last at SHI Stadium.
- Down two goals with just over seven minutes to play, Graduate student Cassidy Spilis scored back-to-back goals to force sudden victory. The Nittany Lions won the opening draw of extra time and followed with the game-winning goal from Gretchen Gilmore.
- Spilis finished with a game-high five goals along with four ground balls, three caused turnovers and two draw controls.

- Cassidy Spilis leads the Big Ten in goals (31), goals per game (4.43) and ground balls per game (2.71). Spilis also ranks third in the conference in draw controls per game (5.57), and fourth in points per game (4.86) and caused turnovers per game (1.71).
- With her five goals on Saturday, Spilis passed Denise Reed for the second-most points in school history. At 236 career points, Spilis needs 31 to pass Taralyn Naslonski for the program record.

- After missing her first two seasons due to injury, junior Victoria Goldrick has been a standout for the Scarlet Knights with 20 points on a team-high 15 assists and five goals in 2024. Her 12 assists are third in the Big Ten and 21st nationally.
