Robinson Captures Bronze on Second Day of Big Ten Championships

Scarlet Knights earn podium finish in women’s long jump and qualifying times in five track events
Ann Arbor, Mich. – Rutgers track and field secured its second medal of the weekend as Sincere Robinson took home bronze in the long jump on day two of the 2024 Big Ten Outdoor Championships on Saturday. Celine-Jada Brown earned a podium finish in the women's long jump and the Scarlet Knights qualified for five more finals on the track.
Robinson added his fourth career medal to his Big Ten Championships resume as the junior finished third in the long jump with a mark of 7.68m (25' 2.5"). Brown placed seventh in the women's long jump, recording a distance of 6.11m (20' 0.5").
Brown also qualified for the Sunday finals in the 400-meter along with Charlee Crawford. Sydney Hawkins will run in the 100-meter finals, while Icisys Sadler and Shelby Whetstone qualified for the 110-meter hurdles and 800-meter, respectively. On the men's side, Shamali Whittle added the 100-meter finals to his Sunday race schedule.
The Scarlet Knights posted qualifying times in five events on Saturday with a chance to earn podium finishes in 19 of 26 events on the final day of competition.
