BARABOO, Wis. – No. 13 Rutgers rowing enters championship season at the 2024 Big Ten Championships on Sunday, May 19 at Devil's Lake State Park. Racing begins at 9 a.m. with live results and a live stream on B1G+ both available for free.
 
The No. 13 Scarlet Knights, who have been nationally ranked all season, are joined by Big Ten opponents No. 9 Michigan, No. 12 Ohio State, and No. 14 Indiana in the latest CRCA rankings. Minnesota and Iowa are receiving votes in the latest top-20 poll.

Rutgers will enter seven point-scoring flights in the race for the Big Ten team championship title, which is awarded to the highest point total after the seven races. The flights are weighted differently and are as follows for the 2024 Big Ten Championships:

The Scarlet Knights head to championship season after sending all eight of their boats to grand finals at the Women's Eastern Sprints on Lake Quinsigamond in Massachusetts. Rutgers earned eight medals in the championship-style event that featured 16 schools. The 3rd Varsity 4B and 2nd Novice 8 claimed victories, while the Varsity 8, 2nd Varsity 8, Varsity 4, 2nd Varsity 4, 3rd Varsity 4A, and Novice 8 all took silver for second-place finishes in their grand final races.

Last time at the Big Ten Championships in 2023, Rutgers won four medals at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis, led by a gold medal performance by the 3rd Varsity 4. The Scarlet Knights combined for a fourth-place team finish behind No. 11 Michigan, No. 13 Ohio State, and No. 15 Indiana. Rutgers scored 131 points behind the 3V4's gold, a silver from the 2nd Varsity 4, and bronze medals in the Varsity 4 and 2nd Varsity 8. The gold was the 3rd Varsity 4's best finish at Big Tens, while the 2nd Varsity 4 also posted its best conference finish with a silver.
