Sep 17 | Dance
The Rutgers University Dance Team was given another amazing opportunity to compete at UDA Nationals, one of the most competitive collegiate dance competitions. The collegiate dance competition, held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida, brings together the top teams from all over the country to showcase their skill and represent their schools, to the best of their ability.
The routines in the D1A Pom category are known for their high-energy and powerful visuals. Teams must maintain endurance, coordination, and school spirit as they execute precise formations, quick motions, and explosive skills. In addition to technical skills, this category demands the ability to confidently and athletically captivate the audience. It's one of the hardest and most exciting divisions in the competition since each routine requires a mix of strength and performance quality.
The Rutgers University Dance Team delivered strong performances in both the semifinals and finals, and placed 9th in the nation. Their performances clearly demonstrated their motivation and commitment to one another.
