PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Thursday, Sept. 19) – The Rutgers men's basketball 2024-25 season schedule presented by Prudential has been released.
RU will host
The Knighthood Showcase, an intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday, September 28 at Jersey Mike's Arena. Access to the event is free and fans can purchase a postgame on-court experience through
Knights of the Raritan.
Rutgers will go up against St. John's in an exhibition game at Jersey Mike's Arena on October 17. All proceeds will benefit the Jimmy V Foundation for pediatric cancer research. Contact the Rutgers Athletics Ticket Office for ticket information (866-445-GORU).
The Scarlet Knights' non-conference schedule includes several marquee matchups to prepare for the challenge of Big Ten league play. They will face Notre Dame, Alabama and Houston in the Player's Era Tournament hosted at MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. RU will also take on Jersey foes Seton Hall (December 14) and Princeton (December 21).
The conference schedule begins on the road at Ohio State (December 7) and the first conference home game is against Penn State (December 10). RU will resume Big Ten play on January 2 as the Scarlet Knights head to Bloomington to square off with Indiana. UCLA (January 13) and USC (February 23) will visit Jersey Mike's Arena as Big Ten Conference opponents for the first time. Rutgers will also host Michigan State on January 25.
The Scarlet Knights will head to the West Coast for the first-ever Big Ten matchup between Oregon (February 16) and Washington (February 19). Rutgers will then head to Mackey Arena for the final conference away game (March 4) and host Minnesota for Senior Day at Jersey Mike's Arena (March 9).
Start times and network designations for all conference and non-conference games will be announced by the end of the month. The 28
th Big Ten MBB Tournament will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025, through Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
