BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Rutgers men's soccer (3-1) routed Lehigh (1-2-1) on the road Monday night, 2-0. Curt Calov and Bryan Keating both found the back of the net in the victory while goalkeeper Ciaran Dalton recorded his first shutout of the season and third of his career.Â
Calov continued his ways of attacking early, scoring the first goal of the contest in the fifth minute. He has netted all four of his goals this season in the first eight minutes of play. Â
After much back and fourth through the rest of the first half and beginning of the second, Keating struck against with just under two minutes left in play. Â
Dalton and the RU defense stood strong the entire contest, even playing without starter Arnar Adalsteinsson, who was sent off in the 30th minute with a red card. Â

Game Notes Â
- Calov's score marks his fourth of the season, already surpassing his total of three from 2023. Â
- Ian Abbey assisted on Calov's goal, his second consecutive helper. He also set up Calov's score against Princeton (8/30). The junior has now tied his career-high two assists which he set in 2023. Â
- Keating's goal is the second of his career and first since 2022 against UAlbany. Â
- Dylan Carlson's assist of Keating's goal signify the first points of his young career. Â
- The Scarlet Knights have scored first in all four games this season. RU has also scored four goals in the first 11 minutes of the contest four times now, including three in the first five minutes.  The Scarlet Knights found the back of the net in the third minute against Northeastern (8/26), in the first and 11th minutes versus Princeton and now in the fifth minute at Lehigh (9/2). Â
- Freshmen Scott Godden and Arnar Adalsteinsson both started their fourth consecutive contest for the Scarlet Knights. Carlson also earned his second start of the slate. Â
- Other rookies in Lenny Aviles, Thomas Angelone, Illia Tyrkus and Kristófer Arnarsson also got on the pitch. Â
Looking Ahead  Â
Rutgers will stay on the road, traveling to Providence on Friday, Sept. 6. The contest will begin at 7 p.m. at Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium. Â
