FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Rutgers volleyball closed out the Wooo Pig Invitational on Saturday with a straight-set victory over LA Tech.
The Scarlet Knights captured its second sweep of the season with 25-22, 27-25, 25-11 set wins.

- It was redshirt junior Alissa Kinkela once again leading the offense with a game-high 16 kills.
- Freshman Lily Bolen helped set up the attack with 18 assists along with three service aces and seven digs. Junior Aly Borellis added 13 helpers.
- Both sophomore Zora Hardison and freshman Natalie Robinson made five stops each with a solo block and four assisted stops.
- Sophomore Kenzie Dyrstad came away with 13 digs.
- SET 1 (25-11) | Rutgers led by as many as three with Zora Hardison and Anna Hartman combing for a stop at 12-9 and a Bulldog error giving RU a 16-13 edge. LA Tech scored four unanswered to take the lead prompting a Scarlet Knight timeout. RU responded with back-to-back kills from Avery Jesewitz and a swing from Lexi Visintine to stay in front for good. Alissa Kinkela notched five kills while Lily Bolen added a pair of aces.

- SET 2 (27-25) | The Scarlet Knights needed extra court time to go out to a 2-0 lead. The frame saw eight total ties, with five coming late in the set, and four set point opportunities. A Natalie Robinson kill put RU up 24-22, but the Bulldogs countered with the next three points for their own chance to take the set. The Scarlet Knights fought back with the next three points with a Robinson solo block sealing the victory. Kinkela delivered seven kills in the win.

- SET 3 (25-11) | The 11 points scored by LA Tech marked the fewest in a set by an RU opponent this season. A Robinson and Kinkela block tied the set at 5-5 and a Kinkela swing gave the Scarlet Knights lead for good. Midway through, Rutgers produced an 8-0 run to enhance its advance its lead to 20-8. Visintine captured five kills on eight swings as Rutgers hit .400.
- Rutgers makes its 2024 home debut next week at Jersey Mike's Arena. The Scarlet Knights host LIU on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 6 p.m., Binghamton on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. and VCU on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 2 p.m.Â
