PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's soccer senior Emily Mason has been selected for the United States Women's National Team (USWNT) 2025 Futures Camp, announced by the USWNT on Wednesday.
 
The Futures Camp will feature up-and-coming USWNT prospects who are all age-eligible for the U.S. Under-23 USWNT. The training camp will take place from January 14-21 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. and is being held concurrently with the USWNT training camp running at the same time.
 
The roster features 14 professional players – 13 from the NWSL and one from the USL Super League – with 12 who played college soccer last season. USWNT head coach Emma Hayes and her U.S. National Team coaching staff, along with all of the USA's Youth National Team head coaches, will come together to run the training sessions at the Futures Camp.
 
Mason played in the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Costa Rica with the Youth National Team.
 
The Flemington, N.J. native finished her collegiate career with the Scarlet Knights in 2024 with a third selection to the Regional All-America list with a First Team honor. Mason anchored a stellar defense in 2024 that posted eight team shutouts. A steady presence in the back, Mason played all but two minutes the entire season and scored two goals and picked up an assist out of the back. Mason and the defense allowed four or less shots on goal in 12 matches this season, including seven with three or less shots on target by the opposition. Mason was named All-Big Ten First Team, along with the National Player of the Week and the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 24.
