PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers Women's Basketball invites fans of all ages to tip off the 2025-26 season in style at HoopFest, a free, family-friendly event at Jersey Mike's Arena on Sunday, Oct. 26 from 12–3 p.m.
HoopFest and the entire 2025-26 season is presented by Prudential.
The afternoon will feature an open practice, pep rally and team introductions, followed by interactive fan experiences with players, coaches, and Rutgers Spirit teams.
"HoopFest is all about celebrating our fans, community and the energy of Rutgers women's basketball," said Head Coach Coquese Washington. "We can't wait to see Jersey Mike's Arena filled with families, students and our supporters as we get ready for an exciting season ahead."
Open Practice & Fan Engagement (12:00–1:45 PM)
Fans will get a first look at the 2025–26 Scarlet Knights during open practice on the court, featuring a live Q&A with head coach Coquese Washington. Throughout the concourse, FAQ stations will be open for:
- Ticketing & Group Experiences - Ask any questions regarding ticketing and learn how to bring your group to a game this season.
- Marketing & Promotions - Pick up a raffle ticket for chances to win prizes throughout the day including a signed basketball, courtside tickets and a flatscreen TV.
The first 250 fans will receive a free exclusive HoopFest T-shirt. Free popcorn and water will be available for all attendees as well.
Fans can also shop for new Rutgers gear, including player name-and-number shirts, at the merchandise stand.
Additional entertainment on the concourse includes face painting and caricature artists, with concessions open throughout the event.
Pep Rally & Team Introductions (1:45–2:10 PM)
At 1:45 p.m., the energy ramps up as the Rutgers Marching Scarlet Knights, Cheer, Dance and Sir Henry take the court for a spirited HoopFest Pep Rally. Fans will learn Rutgers traditions and join in crowd chants to get ready for the season.
At 2 p.m., the lights go down for a full game-day style team introduction featuring music, lights and the Scarlet Knights's first walkout of the year. Coquese Washington will take the mic to thank fans for their support and officially kick off the family fun activities.
Family Fun Activities (2:10–3:00 PM)
From 2–3 p.m., fans can enjoy a full lineup of interactive activities throughout the arena, including:
- Shoot free throws with players
- Photo booth, inflatables, face paint, caricature artist
- Sir Henry's Castle & Craft Station
- Trick-or-treating at themed activity stations
- Additional giveaways and prizes throughout the hour
Costumes are encouraged, and fans are invited to bring friends and family for a day of Rutgers pride, team spirit and Halloween fun.
