PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers cross country will travel to Michigan State of the 2025 Big Ten Cross Country Championships on Friday, Oct. 31 at Forest Akers Golf Course. The men's 8K begins at 10:35 a.m., followed by the women's 6K at 11:35 a.m. with coverage of both races airing live on Big Ten Network.
"The team is excited and ready for the Big Ten Championships this weekend," said Associate Head Coach Nicol Starkes. "Both the men and women are coming off of very solid performances at the Princeton meet and we're looking to keep this good momentum going forward. Both teams have the potential to beat more teams than we ever have since entering the conference 11 seasons ago. We're excited for them to showcase their hard work."
On the men's side, Micah Lawson has been the lead runner for the Scarlet Knights in each of the four races this season. He broke 24 minutes for the first time in his career the last time out for Rutgers at the Princeton Fall Classic. Lawson has been joined at the front by Liam Tilton who consistently scored for the Scarlet Knights this season.
The efforts on the women's side have been led by Kelseigh O'Neil who has been the top finisher for Rutgers all season and Lorena David who has turned in top performances as well. The pair both broke 21 minutes over the 6K course in Princeton, building up momentum to the conference championships.
