Rowing Closes Out Fall With Princeton Chase

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Rutgers women's rowing team wraps up its fall schedule on Saturday, Nov. 2 in the annual Princeton Chase held on Lake Carnegie.

 
SCHEDULE

10 a.m. – Women's Open 8+
12:20 p.m. – Women's 8+ Round 2
1:20 p.m. – Women's 4+ Round 1

The Scarlet Knights compete in the 3-mile time trial against a field featuring 61 eights and 36 fours combined between men's and women's entries. No. 8 Rutgers will face boats from No. 6 Princeton, No. 10 Virginia, No. 11 Michigan, No. 16 Penn, No. 17 Dartmouth and No. 24 Clemson.

RU will have six eights entered in the Women's Open 8+ at 10 a.m., four entries in the Women's 8+ Round 2 racing at 12:20 p.m. and four boats racing in the Women's 4+ at 1:20 p.m.

ABOUT THE SCARLET KNIGHTS
Rutgers women's rowing program celebrated its 50th varsity season in 2025 by placing eighth at the NCAA Championships, winning a program-record six medals as runner-up at the Big Ten Championships and winning the Island Challenge Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta. Four Scarlet Knights were named CRCA All-Americans, five earned All-Big Ten honors and two landed Big Ten All-Freshman accolades, including Big Ten Freshman of the Year. Additionally, four members of the squad competed for their home countries at the U23 World Championships.
 
UP NEXT
The spring season kicks off with a scrimmage against Temple on the Raritan River on Saturday, March 14, before officially opening the 2026 campaign at the Doc Hosea Invitational in Cherry Hill on Sunday, March 29.
