Competition Takes Place Thursday-Saturday
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers swimming and diving heads to the Midwest this week, where they will compete at the Minnesota Invitational. The Scarlet Knights will compete in events on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
With fellow Big Ten school Minnesota hosting, seven teams overall will compete. The Scarlet Knights and Gophers are joined by Cal, UNLV, Harvard, Denver and Iowa State. Rutgers will be competing in the Minnesota Invitational for the second straight year.
Live results will be available online. In addition, there will be live streams available for each day, both for prelims and finals, available via YouTube.
For Rutgers, this is the fifth weekend with competition for the program. The Scarlet Knights opened action with dual meet wins over St. Bonaventure and Fordham. RU also competed against top competition in meets with Miami/Arkansas and No. 25 Princeton.
Last time out, the Rutgers divers headed to the Naval Academy Invite. The diving squad, who is ranked No. 6 nationally, had first place finishes in all three events, led by Sephora Ford winning both the 3-Meter and Platform, with Katerina Hoffman winning the 1-Meter.
Additionally, team captain Brooke Thompson returns from competing last week in Tokyo, Japan for the 2025 Deaflympics. Thompson won six medals (two gold, four bronze), set a new US deaf record and was a part of two relay teams who set World records for deaf swimming.
