Three School Records Cap Big Ten Indoor Championships
Mar 02 | Track & Field
Records were broken in the men’s distance medley relay, women’s 400-meter and women’s triple jump
INDIANAPOLIS – Rutgers track and field wrapped up the 2025 Big Ten Indoor Championships on Saturday, March 1 with nine podium finishes, including a bronze on the track and three school records.
"I'm proud of our athletes who got on the podium and broke some school records in the process," said Bobby Farrell. "There's so much potential on these teams and I think they learned a lot this weekend about this new conference. Our men's team suffered some key injuries this season and during the meet that were tough losses in points. We're looking forward to getting healthy and coming back strong for outdoor. We have high goals for this squad. The women competed very strong and I'm excited to see them continue to climb this outdoor season. I know we can keep climbing higher."
Chris Serrao delivered the Scarlet Knights a medal on day two of the championships as he placed third in the 60-meter hurdles, running a time of 7.74 seconds. Charlee Crawford in the 400-meter and Faith Bethea in the triple jump provided two more school records for the weekend, joining the record-breaking distance medley relay performance during Friday's action.
Crawford ran a time of 52.49 to place fourth in the 400-meter and set the Rutgers record. Bethea placed seventh in the triple jump with a school record distance of 12.96m (42' 6.25"). Also taking a spot on the podium stand was Jenovia Logan in the high jump as she placed seventh, clearing a height of 1.80m (5' 10.75").
