Gymnastics Opens Season with Win in Rutgers Tri

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers gymnastics opened the 2026 season in style, winning the Rutgers Tri with a score of 195.400, marking the highest score in a season opener in program history.
Gabrielle Dildy shined in her all-around debut, posting a 39.325 to win the all-around crown. Her day was highlighted with a 9.900 anchoring floor to close out the meet. She also posted a career-high 9.825 on bars as well as a 9.800 on both beam and vault.
Making her return after missing all of last season with injury, Emily Leese stole the show on vault with a 9.900 to win the event. She also posted a 9.825 on floor.
On beam, Delaney Adrian led the way with a 9.825 to win the event. Competing in three events, Adrian had a strong season debut with a 9.875 on floor and 9.775 on bars.
Dildy's 9.825 on bars paced RU and tied her for the event win as well.
As a team, RU won all four events, with a Scarlet Knight also posting the highest individual score in each event.
