Softball Announces 2026 Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers softball has announced its 2026 schedule.
The Scarlet Knights' schedule will include night games at home for the first time in program history and nonconference dates at the NFCA Leadoff Classic and Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.
The season gets underway in Clearwater, Florida with the NFCA Leadoff Classic on February 6-8 as Rutgers takes on North Carolina Central, Tennessee, South Alabama, Southeastern Louisiana and Notre Dame.
February continues with The Snowman: Alex Wilcock Memorial Tournament with host Mississippi State, along with North Texas and Murray State, on February 13-15.
The Scarlet Knights return to the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic for a third-straight season on February 19-21 in Cathedral City, California. Out west, RU will take on Bethune-Cookman, CSU-Fullerton, LMU, Utah and UC San Diego, as well as Team Japan.
The month of February ends with the Unconquered Invitational against host Florida State and FGCU on February 27-28.
March kicks off Big Ten action on the road, starting off at Maryland the weekend of March 6-8 and Indiana the weekend of March. 6-8.
The Scarlet Knights will be under the lights for a midweek doubleheader against FDU to kick off the home portion of its schedule on March 18, along with a three-game series with UCLA on March 21-23.
RU travels to Seton Hall on Mar. 24 for the first of two meetings with the Pirates and returns home for a Big Ten weekend series with Penn State on March 27-28 and a midweek meeting with Wagner to close out March on the 31st.
April opens with a conference clash at Nebraska on April 3-5 and a midweek road date with Lehigh in the first of two meetings with the Mountain Hawks on April 7.
The Scarlet Knights remain home for the rest of April with a weekend league series against Michigan State on April 10-12, a midweek contest with LIU on April 14, and the final Big Ten home series versus Purdue on April 17-19. RU will host Seton Hall in its final midweek of the year on April 22 before welcoming Lehigh, Hofstra and Georgetown in a nonconference tournament to close out the home schedule on the weekend of April 24-26.
The regular season comes to a close on May 1-3 at Wisconsin.
