EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. — Rutgers tennis defeated Army, 4-0, to move to 5-2 on the season Saturday afternoon at the East Brunswick Racquet Club. The Scarlet Knights clinched the doubles point and won three singles victories led by Zeynep Ilker, Stella Schmitz, and Savannah Cohen.
"We're really pleased we came out so strongly in doubles after working a lot on positioning," said head coach Hilary Ritchie. "I'm very proud of the freshmen for finishing in two sets. Army is a great team and always fights hard, so this was a great challenge going into our Yale match."
