
Brown Wins Gold on Day Two of Big Ten Championships

LINCOLN, Neb. – Celine-Jada Brown posted a long jump of 6.48m to win gold for Rutgers track and field on day two of the Big Ten Championships on Saturday. The three-day meet is being hosted by Nebraska.
Brown's mark is the highest for a Scarlet Knight at the Big Ten Championships. It also makes it four podium finishes in four years for the senior in the event.
The men also saw success in the long jump, as Sincere Robinson (7.88m) brought home third place for a bronze medal and Donavan Anderson (7.54m) placed on the podium by finishing seventh. Both marks sit inside the program's top-10 list at tied for third and ninth, respectively.
On the track, Chris Serrao ran a 13.66 in the first round of the 110m hurdles, ranking third in the meet and advancing to Sunday's final.
