PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Senior Katie Buck and sophomore Caroline Ling were named 2026 All-Americans by USA Lacrosse Magazine, the publication announced Thursday. Buck and Ling earned honorable mention laurels, marking six consecutive seasons Rutgers women's lacrosse has produced at least one All-American under head coach Melissa Lehman.
A First Team All-Big Ten selection, Buck has established herself as one of the top draw takers in the country this season. The Moorestown, New Jersey, native has produced a Big Ten-best 157 draw controls, with her 8.72 draw controls per game rank second in the Big Ten and 15th nationally.
Buck's 157 draw controls are a single-season program record, while her career-high 16 draw controls against Oregon on April 12 set a school single-game record. Buck set the single-game draw control record three times this spring.
A Second Team All-Big Ten selection, Ling has been one of the top offensive players in the NCAA this spring. The Springboro, Ohio, native is second in the Big Ten and 10th nationally with 90 points this season on a team-high 58 goals and 32 assists. Ling has netted three or more goals 12 times and her 3.22 goals per game rank third in the Big Ten.
Ling's 90 points are tied with assistant coach Taralyn Naslonski (2022) for the program's single-season points record. Ling also became the 29th Scarlet Knight in program history to surpass 100 career points with 110 in just two seasons "On the Banks."
Rutgers navigated one of the toughest schedules in the country to earn an at-large bid to this year's NCAA Tournament, finishing the regular season with its most wins (10) and Big Ten victories (4) since 2022. The Scarlet Knights wrapped up the regular season with the No. 5 strength of schedule and a No. 20 RPI.
RU opens the 2026 NCAA Tournament against No. 17 Princeton (11-6) on Friday in College Park, Maryland. First draw from SECU Stadium is set for 2 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+.
