PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Twelve members of the Rutgers women's rowing program were named Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar Athletes for the 2026 season, it was announced on Friday.
To qualify as a scholar athlete, students maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher for their career (through the fall semester/quarter for the current competition year). The student-athletes are also required to row in 75 percent of the team's season.
Each Scarlet Knight CRCA Scholar Athlete helped Rutgers to an 11th-place finish at the 2026 NCAA Championships and repeat as silver team medalists at the 2026 Big Ten Championships.
Fallon DeWitt, Louise Dinard, Elizabeth Enriquez and coxswain Meghan Mangan were members of the Varsity 8 that placed fifth in the petite final at the NCAA Championships to finish 11th overall and captured silver at the Big Ten Championships.
Femke de Witt, Madison Donnelly, Madeline Galesi, Jazmine Ingall and Kathryn Koleto won the C final with the Second Varsity 8 with nearly an eight-second margin of victory and also brought home silver at the Big Ten Championships.
Abigail Franks, Eda Erkan and coxswain Ashley Lo helped the Varsity 4 tie for the best finish by a Scarlet Knight boat in program history at the NCAA Championship. The trio rowed to a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Championship for RU's best finish by a boat since 1997, only 1.328 seconds away from reaching the podium.
