Prior to Rutgers: Part of 2014 signing day class ... played high school football at Millbrook for coach Clarence Inscore ... named Cap-8 Defensive Player of the Year, All-Metro Team, first team all-conference as a senior ... totaled 118 tackles, 52 TFLs, 19 sacks, nine forced fumbles, five recoveries, an interception, four pass break-ups, a blocked a field goal and scored two defensive touchdowns in final high school season ... team went 10-4 with two playoff wins to advance to 4AA state quarterfinals ... played outside linebacker and defense end ... projected to play R defensive end at the collegiate level according to recruiting analysts, a hybrid position based on speed off the edge and ability to play in coverage ... held a 3.72 GPA while taking AP/honors courses ... a member of both the National Honor Society and National Achiever's Society ... also saw action at tight end on offense ... played high school basketball.
