Prior to Rutgers: Three-year varsity starter at Ridge High School for head coach Bill Tracy ... played middle linebacker and fullback for Red Devils ... ran for more than 700 yards and scored eight touchdowns despite being limited to five games his senior season ... rushed for more than 1,100 yards, scored 14 touchdowns and recorded more than 100 tackles as a junior ... earned second team all-state honors his junior year ... three-time all-area selection and two-year all-conference pick ... totaled 98 tackles and five sacks as a sophomore ... helped guide team to a 9-2 record and state finalist appearance as a junior ... Ridge finished 10-2 and reached the state semifinals sophomore season ... also a three-year varsity starter on Ridge lacrosse team, guiding Red Devils to a state title his junior season ... a criminal justice major.
