Prior to Rutgers: Entered 2019-20 as redshirt freshman after spending first collegiate campaign at Finger Lakes Community College in 2018-19 … went 8-8 at FLCC wrestling in open tournaments at 149 pounds … NJSIAA state champion at 106 pounds for Hanover Park in 2015 … transferred to Bergen Catholic as a sophomore and closed out scholastic career as a three-time state placewinner … finished as high as runner-up in the state during time with the Crusaders … placed seventh at 152 pounds in 2018 as a senior … First Team All-Bergen Country and All-United Division by NorthJersey.com … state runner-up at 138 pounds with a 26-2 record at 138 pounds in 2017 … went 17-7 as a sophomore and finished third in the state at 120 pounds.
