Priscilla Santana

    Assistant Strength and Conditioning
Priscilla C. Santana, otherwise known as “Cilla” or Coach P is in her first year (2022) at Rutgers as a Strength and Conditioning Assistant. Her primary responsibilities are supporting the Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams where she assists with all aspects of preparation and implementation of strength and conditioning programs. She also trains the nationally-ranked dance team as well as the cheer team.
 
Prior to coming “on the banks of the Old Raritan”, Priscilla attended and graduated from Texas A&M University in 2022 with her Master of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sports Physiology.  While studying at Texas A&M, Priscilla was a graduate intern primarily working with the Aggies’ Women’s Basketball team. In addition, she gained valuable experience coaching Cross Country, Men’s Swim and Dive, Sprinters, Mid-distance, Jumpers, and the Volleyball team.
Priscilla earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Nutrition from Rutgers University in 2020. She interned her senior year with the Rutgers Strength and Conditioning department where she primarily assisted with Women’s Rowing, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Golf, Men’s Wrestling, and Women’s Gymnastics, as well as Women’s Basketball, Men’s Basketball, and Men’s Lacrosse.
 
Priscilla is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), as well as a Certified Level 1 Weightlifting Coach from USA Weightlifting and is CPR/AED Certified.
